Kano State To Partner Donor Agencies For Direct Citizenry Benefits – Speaker

Kano state house of Assembly reiterates it’s determination to partnered with International donor agencies in makings laws that have direct benefits to the Kano citizenry.

The Speaker Kano state house of Assembly Rt Hon Abdulazeez Garba Gafasa made the statement, during an opening remarks at a four-day technical sessions for Members of Kano state house of Assembly organised by the House in conjunction with DFID PERL.
The Speaker Explained that the Session is aimed at Maximising service delivery of democratic benefits to the entire Kano populace.

During the sessions Gafasa said that the Financial Autonomy Law of assembly ,reflect on the administrative Independence of assembly, an overview of the budgeting process as well as Identifying the roles of the State Houses of Assembly, which are the main objectives .

Rt Hon Abdulazeez Garba Gafasa urged the members to participates throughout the session and strive to contribute immensely.

He however commended the effort of DFID PERL in making such a programme successful.

In his welcome address the state’s Leader of PERL, Malam Jibrin Giginyu expressed his optimism with the way and manner Kano statehouse is involving the Citizens in any matters related to the state developments.

Seven Papers were presented during the four-day retreat, which was attended by some Academies, top civil-servants and Diplomats.
